Yes, Franklin, we are indeed too tired. It's day two in the post-Black Eyed Peas concert era. The tico side of the MC is pretty exhausted!

It was quite an experience, with around 10 or so @ers in the group including the trainees. We started lining up at 3:30pm and Black Eyed Peas started singing at 9:10pm...and well, as soon as they started singing, there was a stampede from the "gramilla" (where we were, with the cheap tickets), to the VIP area! There too many people who climbed the railings, and rushed through the security that they didn't have enough people to stop us. And well, Maga, me, and Chihiro survived the stampede and ended up in the VIP area shouting like crazy, and dancing like an @er. (for two songs at least: let's get retarded, and of course...PUMP IT!) It was easily one of the best nights I have had in Costa Rica. I lost my voice even before they started singing, when a tico group called "porpartes" opened the concert.

To put icing on the cake, it was in Saprissa stadium, and the temperature was around 15 degrees. Juraj, you would love it. As Gato and I were quite excited about the climate.

We are in the same order as three months ago - nice coincidence, isn't it?

Suspicion on the rise

Now, I'm a bit confused about our VPX.

Just the night after the conference, when we cancelled our post-MAX meeting, these pictures were found on the internet...






Who is this mystery girl? For sure that is not Nikki.









All I know is that he is HAPPY afterwards. (Yeah right he was tired afterwards. He had other plans in mind.














Now on the otherhand, we should be a bit careful of our branding coordinator, as there has been some suspicious movements... notice her in the pictures. And notice Juraj's serious face, compared to Magaly, Franklin, and my innocent smiles.
















Hey team. I think we should be aware of Juraj's motives of coming to Costa Rica this weekend. He came here with a plan.

Some choques to share

Ok, I will try once again to contribute to the blog. The other time, I was writing ABOOT thanksgiving and mid-autumn festival, it didn't get to be posted in the end. =(

So I just got back to Costa Rica after our W.O.O. conference! And I got some "choques" to share while crossing the boarder.

At the Pana side of the boarder, they picked 4 people (PEOPLE!) out of the whole bus to enter a private room. And guess what, they picked Gato and Me to be 2 of them. So Gato was first. they had to close the door, in private, and for 5 mins was alone.

And then it was my turn...I went in, they saw my bags, and opened my zip. They found my name tag from MAX conference. The guy was staring at it for 15 seconds, inspecting it...then asked me "qué es?". I was like..."Es mi nombre". It felt like it was the most dangerous weapon I had. But i really appreciated it, because he was ensuring the safety of all the passengers on the bus.

Then came my main zip, he saw my laptop.

He pointed at it, and asked me...after 10 seconds. "Qué es?". I then calmly said "se llama una computadora".

I think that pela'o made my day.

After a soccer game (panama won, how bizarre), we went to On The Run 'cause Franklin was sooo hungry he would kill in any moment... well, we started talking accomodation for MAX, and who are going to stay with Premysl and Martin, and Duro told us that Martin will stay in Verona's house. And what i knew was that Monica is staying with Verona too. So, if Derek is going to stay at Verona's too, that house would be PD House, just like Hogwarts House System. We started laughing and Duro said: "PD is like Hufflepuff"... And right now im analyzing that.
Gryffindor values courage, chivalry and boldness.
Hufflepuff is the most inclusive among the four houses, valuing hard work, patience, friendship, and fair play rather than a particular aptitude in its members.
Ravenclaw values intelligence, knowledge, and wit.
Slytherin house values ambition, cunning and resourcefulness.

After this short explanation of Hogwarts Houses, lets come back to our AIESEC Houses.
PD, ER, ICX, OGX

So, PD is Hufflepuff, and obviously ER is Slytherin, weve got ICX and OGX left. And my opinion is that ICX is Gryffindor and OGX is Ravenclaw. Dont ask why.

So, now think of MAX... Hufflepuff Track, Slytherin Track hehehe

too much... youre going to kill me. And yes, i dont have a life.

MC CAS Identity

Hi,
first we have to define, what we want to achieve by creating our Identity... I agree with Nikki, that it is not easy to link the CASino idea with some goals or direction, but with McDonald it would be even harder. If we want to create something just because of fun, McCAS might be a good idea and we can play around it a lot. But if we want to present the Identity of the MC 06/07 in front of the plenary and want to link it to our plan or our ambitions, I would suggest come back to the CASino idea.

The casino is usually being linked with fancy dresses, high stakes, lot of money, big risks and success. So let's focus on the high stakes and the success - let's finally define our ambitions so we are able to say at the end of our term, whether the MC CAS 06/07 was or wasn't a successful team.

Until we answer the first question (why we are calling us MC CASino), we cannot answer the second question (whether we like it or not). And to the third question, I think my answer will not surprise anyone: It is the difference and the diversity. Of course I expected, that this term will be different than previous 5 years in AIESEC, and I counted with different working conditions, different communication styles and everything and I am very happy, that my expectations were correct in a way - I had no idea, what was awaiting me, the only thing I knew it will be different... And it is. The second thing I enjoy much in this term is the team - maybe we don't have much team experience so far, but I am sure you will agree with me, that we are quite diverse team and our personalities are different. The only thing now is to use this knowledge and leverage upon this fact to increase our performance and our contribution.

Why are we calling ourselves MC CASino?

What's that that we are enjoying this term?

Hmm... MC CASino... You said you felt like a dealer, and someone, cant remember who, brought the CASino idea. The right moment, the first three letters of casino, it seemed perfect. but it just doesnt make thaaaaat fun to me, it is creative, but i dont think i feel like a dice, or a umbrella drink hahaha. Ive thought of CASino sooo much, trying to figure out stuff, like who can be the casino dancers (obviously Martin and me i guess, but Duro, i have a video that shows us all you are a roll call fan), this MC CASino sale, Magaly said she's like a dealer (No ladies and gentlemen, she doesnt sell drugs)... Well... today I was reading my @ emails and instead of reading "emcee" i read "mac". So i was like...Mc CAS?...Suddenly my twisted mind came with this Mc Menu idea. MC Menu? Yes, I'll explain it to you.
Mc Menu, we all know about the Mc Menu. Different products that taste good, and make good combos. Different people that can make a good team...
So, you can make a McMenu Combo, by picking 3 products from the list. The problem is that in this McMenu we're 7. Yes, we would get really fat if we eat 7 products. But in this case, 7 people working for the region... can be a good McMenu, right?
Now im presenting the new products of the McMenu:
* McGaly
* Mctin
* Duro McKugla
* McFranks
* McTati Deluxe
* McNikki with Oreos®
* ViviMAC

But these are only names... which real products can we relate to their positions?
The BigMAC... the one thats in front of the rest. The Other restaurantes when they hear mac, they think of BigMAC. Its the face of the McMenu, the leader of the rest of the dishes.
Other featured hamburgers... the other main dishes, without a hamburger, there wouldnt be a mc menu, without hamburgers, there wouldnt be mac!
The Fries... The perfect sidedish, and some people wouldnt consider 'em a sidedish, 'cause they believe the McFries are the real products that position Mac... they sell mac.
The Beverages... For many years there was coke. After that, sprite... but now we have new beverages that let you make an impact on your meal. For example: Iced tea. The issue was to lose weight and avoid drinking coke, cause its bad for health. And they added iced tea to McMenu. And without the beverage, it would be hard to swallow everything.
The Salad... healthy, low FAT, its an option for those who care about health, who avoid being like the rest and lead their lives and impulssions. An option that cares about health, that cares about people.
The Dessert... mac innovates very much with new desserts, the improve the size, the taste, they add new flavors... they get creative innovating but they always have a mac style... theres a strict brand to follow, you know?
Cheeseburger ...The saviour of the day. Its good, its tasty, it helps you to save money, its a good burger, cares about your budget.

Its not crazy to think about this. After all, we're McCASino, a new McCombo that now includes 7 very different products that working solo can be good, but when theyre together in a McCombo, are even better.

BTW, this blog wasnt supposed to be non f.a.t.? Im 20 pounds overweight, help me please...
